Our Purpose
Our establishment is grounded in a history of resistance, resilience and determination to look after our country and community. Our work is about strengthening self‑determination and delivering lasting outcomes by valuing and building capacity in our people.
We know there are deep underlying causes and systemic barriers that perpetuate the challenges we face in our community today. This is driving us to develop programs that support long-term community-led change centred around healing and cultural wellbeing.
With the history of our old people, and the futures of our young ones in mind, we are here to back Yinhawangka People, maintain Culture and care for Country in meaningful and practical ways.
Our Key Focus Areas

With connection to country and culture as the foundation for Yinhawangka wellbeing, we are supporting improved Yinhawangka-led health, education, housing, and social outcomes.
